App Scramble

A Disruption ritual for Presence

How to do it:

1. Open your phone

2. Rearrange the placement of all the apps you use on a daily basis.

This can be done once a month, or as often as you desire a bit of change in your routine.

Why do it:

Creating change in something that our muscle memory does on autopilot invites presence.

Now, instead of mindlessly opening your feed [fill in your app vice of choice] without even realizing that you are doing it, there will be a moment of presence as your muscle memory readjusts to the new app placements, and you can make more of a conscious decision if to engage or not.
