How to do it:

1. Sit somewhere comfortable with all the materials needed for this ritual.

2. Take a few deep breaths and focus on what it is that you are ready to release and let go of.

Examples: self-doubt, fear of being seen or judged, a grudge held against a loved one, a belief that no longer serves.

3. Write what you are releasing on a piece of paper. It can be as many things as you want.

4. As you write them down, thank them for any protection or purpose it may have once provided.

5. For each item written, speak aloud something positive that is the opposite to take its place.

Example: let go of anger towards a friend, calling in forgiveness.)

4. Place the paper in the burning bowl and light it on fire and say, “I release you.”

5. Feel the weight lift as you watch the paper burn.

6. Pour the ashes outside in the dirt or blow them into the wind.

Why do it:

Full Moon’s are traditionally a harvest time. This mean it’s a time for you to reap all that you have sown in the last month, and to finally release and let go of things that no longer serve you.
