How to do it:

  1. When waking up, before checking devices, spend up to 10 minutes imagining the best outcome of your day, and doing simple, but consistent deep breathing.

Bonus: Hold a smile while doing it

Why do it:

Once we grab our phone, or head into the tasks of the day, we start to flood the brain with information to process. It begins eating the energy we just rested and built up, and has our mind attaching to thoughts and reactions. By first creating space and visualizing outcomes, we create a beacon for intending how our day can go, which can affect both what we notice that life is presenting, as well as helps us manage the less important things calling at our attention.
