How to do it:

  1. Set a timer for 20 minutes to sit in silence with yourself where you won't be distracted, putting your device on Airplane Mode.

  2. You can focus on your breath, follow your train of thought, set an intention and let the silence guide it, it really doesn't matter if your brain is quiet or loud.

All that matters for this ritual, is you take time for yourself.

Why do it:

How much time do you keep for yourself each day, and not give away to responsibilities? Too little, if you're like most people. Protecting a window of time for ourselves each day, where we step away from inbound stimulation, noise, and pressures, gives us an opportunity to find and stay close to our own center of gravity.
